Performance & Study Tour of Ireland May 29 - June 7, 2015
Comments from Previous Tour Attendees:
"I highly recommend traveling with the Nebraska Honor Choir. You'll be treated like kings & queens and get a top rate, educational, performing tour for a reasonable price. If I'm able, I would go every time they have one!"
Jill Stark, Music Teacher
Niobrara Public Schools
"Choosing to go to Ireland was one of the best decisions ever. It was not only fun but highly educational. You may read about all of these amazing places but being immersed in the country and culture really puts things in perspective."
Katherine Welk
The 体育菠菜大平台 "Pride of the Plains" Marching Band went on a trip to Norway from May 14-19, 2015. The band was able to see many great sights (a 12th-century stave church, a silver mine, a UNESCO World Heritage site containing Viking burial cairns, 18th-century log mountain homes, and traditional music and dance), but the highlight of the trip was parading (nine miles in total) as part of the Norwegian National Day celebration on May 17th in the city of Sandefjord. The 体育菠菜大平台 band combined with a local school band for these performances, which proved to be a great cultural exchange experience. The trip was a prime example of a "once-in-a-lifetime" travel opportunity.
The "Pride of the Plains" has taken other overseas trips in recent years to Italy (2005, 2009, 2012) as well as France and Monaco (part of the 2012 trip to Italy). These trips culminated in performing in the Rome New Year's Day parade at the Vatican.
